In Blennerhasset Parkersburg Washington June 4 Daniel Spencer 26 was accidentally shot and killed at his fiancee Miss Mattie Archer’s home by her sister Della while Spencer demonstrated a new revolver saying I will show you how it works. The weapon discharged and Spencer collapsed at her feet.
Charles Cros by a traveling salesman claiming to represent Frick Grocery Co of St Louis was arrested in Anna Illinois after a sheriff’s telegram charged him with embezzling 650000 dollars of the firm’s money. Crosby said upon arrest I guess it’s all up now.

Edward Forshay of Kansas City an actor and manager shot and killed Miss Edna Stokes at the Victoria theater Chicago after a quarrel. Forshay intended to kill himself but lacked nerve. he was arrested soon after. Miss Stokes’s home was Sedalia Missouri. the couple had met while touring. Forshay left farewell letters to his mother and to Chicago police chief.
Mary Schuler, 70, was struck by a hatchet by a sudden intruder in her home. She suffered a fractured skull. the suspect, described as a Black man, escaped and robbing motives were reported. Schuler sent to hospital for treatment, condition not specified.
