The death of 14 year old Bessie Campbell daughter of Wm Campbell of Congress followed a bout of malarial fever after recently seeming to improve. Also, Mrs J J Dill aged 75 a Franklin township native died Thursday evening at Apple Creek home from breast cancer. She is sister of Cornelius Smith of North Walent street. Funeral from the residence at 2 pm Saturday.

A youth from Burbank in Wayne County sustained a compound skull fracture after allegedly being knocked from a train No 37 near a hotel. The 18 year old, with epilepsy, was conscious after treatment and said he could not identify the assailant. Dr Gregory noted slight recovery hope.
Mrs Z L Numbers of Applecreek suffered serious injuries Tuesday evening when a light two wheeled cart overturned after clipping a railroad obstruction. Her daughter escaped unharmed while Mrs Numbers sustained broken ribs and other injuries preventing weight on her left leg. Dr Jamieson stated the extent of injuries remained to be determined.
A strict inquiry unfolds into the Millersburg wreck of an Akron to Mt Vernon excursion. Officials from C A C and B O railroads conduct witness examinations at Mt Vernon and Millersburg while plans for fault findings and potential suits loom. P A Baker of Cleveland district superintendent of the Ohio Anti Saloon League will be the principal speaker at the Wayne County League meeting in Wooster on July 13. He has led the agitation in Cleveland and is known for vigorous speeches. Ida Tough directs music and the program will include drills. Admission is free and the League is nonpartisan and interdenominational seeking broad attendance.

The jury in the embezzlement case of One J.Sea right of Fredericksburg failed to reach a verdict after two hours in the jury room and was discharged by Judge Taggart. The panel reportedly stood five for acquittal and seven for conviction from the start. Judge Taggart overruled the motion for a new trial for Christian Lehman who was convicted of receiving stolen property a bicycle and sentenced him to two years in the penitentiary. The judge did not appear in court today as expected but will be on the bench several days next week. Nimie la letter Mr Henry Daily traveled to Wooster to care for Mr Joseph Kerstetter who has been quite feeble for months.
