Evans homicide in Doylestown ends in suspect at large

In Doylestown Ohio a fatal shooting occurred as Ray Long, provoked by a fight in a saloon, killed E. Evans while attempting to restrain a disturbance. Coroner Zaring held an inquest and postmortem found the bullet from a .32 revolver, with Long at large after slipping away before officers arrived. County authorities traced the weapon and reported Long’s escape aided by a state posse and a livery driver.
