The plan would tax male dogs at 8 and female dogs at 2, with township assessors collecting the tax and reporting nonpayment to authorities for execution. Jones, a farmer, cites sheep losses to dogs as the motive, arguing compensation from a dog tax fund is currently insufficient to cover losses.
