Fined letter from Smithville reports the death of John Curie, 68, at his home northeast of Smithville on Saturday November 28. Funeral held December 1 at 10 a.m. at the Hust Chippewa church. Madisonburg on December 1 reported Thomas Sonnedecker his wife and daughter from Tiffin spent a week visiting their parents. About 40 relatives attended Thanksgiving with Mrs. Sarah Snyder. Ephrism Lehman and wife visited their son Floyd V Lehman. Ben Kaufman and wife called on Van Leen and family. Joseph Baker of Gettysburg visited his sister Mrs. Frank Landis. Willbeth of Barberton spent days with his parents. A protracted meeting started at Geyer’s chapel Sunday evening. Mrs. B A Hoffman visited her mother Mrs. Eliza Lehman. Dunar Sands aged about 46 died at the Wayne county infirmary after injuries from an unknown cause. Found dazed near Holmesville, likely not a railway accident, with internal injuries causing paralysis. He was a Wayne county resident with a married daughter in Barberton. authorities seek relatives for disposal of the body.
