Boys Stole Rides In Creston Train Incident
Two eight year old boys J A Patterson from North Platte Nebraska and Patrick Mitchell from Sharpsburg Pennsylvania attempted to board a moving train in Creston. Water Works Repair Closes City Supply Briefly
Superintendent James Fisher and the water works crew turned off water until noon Monday to repair a valve at Liberty and Buckeye streets. Repairs took nearly an hour and caused downtown disruptions as motors failed and general water service faltered. The city relied on the Reddick reserve, which was very low, and a heavy rain was needed to aid the system.

Tax Dispute Pushes Restraining Order in Wooster
Probate Judge T W Orr granted a temporary injunction against County Auditor Kagsee N Hough and County Treasurer George J Krieger to stop sale or seizure of Meeks goods over a Dow tax dispute. Meeks, a Wooster restaurateur, says he ceased business April 14 1908 and was never engaged in selling intoxicants since then, while officials claim a back tax with penalties was due and charged August 1907.

Home from Camp Perry returns with mascot pig
Captain M R Linod and Co D of the 8th Regiment O N QW came home Sunday after a week at Camp Perry. The men showed the effects of the trip with good health and strong reports. The unit returned with a live mascot a shoat named Cy D that settled among the Wooster toys. A planned shoat roast was postponed by travel, Private Bert Wilson was named guardian of the pig and brought it home in a box. The pig will be fattened for a fall feast for the command.
