Members Work At Donation Party For Church Addition
An unusual donation party at the Reformed church saw many male members excavate and clear land for a new addition. Rey Neikirk supervised, each member kept to their share, women helped with coffee and offerings, dirt was hauled away and sold, and funds covered expenses with a surplus likely between $50 and $109.

Church land survey adjusts bounds for Reformed additions
Surveyor Markley marked the church lot line after a deed discrepancy showed the parcel four feet deeper than expected. Albert McFadden of Bloomington, owner to the north, attended and expressed satisfaction with the deed, noting he would not object to a few extra feet if needed, though his line fence and two small outbuildings may need slight relocation.
