Memorial Day Parade Honors Township Soldier and Sailor
Memorial Day services in Woodbridge honored the soldier and sailor heads of Woodbridge Township. Rain moved activities to the high school auditorium with the parade from School Street firehouse to the Presbyterian church yard. Reverend Welles offered the invocation as Adolph Boehm read a Lincoln tribute from the senior class. the high school band performed memories of the war and a peace reading. Assemblyman John Burke delivered the principal address praising fallen war dead and national self government. The crowd sang The Star Spangled Banner and Taps were sounded by Bayer and Fertag. benediction by Rev. Langan.

Edward A. Reisman, grandson of Mr and Mrs I Laatgarten, was elected vice president of the Bucknell sophomore class as the Independent fraternity swept the elections. He joined the pre legal department last September and is a member of Cap and Dagger honorary dramatic fraternity. The Bucknellian named him assistant news editor two weeks ago and he belongs to Phi Lambda Theta.

Two Minor Auto Crashes Reported Over Holiday Weekend
Despite heavy traffic through the township over the holiday weekend only two minor accidents occurred. Nelson Brost of 61 Sherry Street Woodbridge backed into a storefront injuring eight year old Sophia Markuline of Blanford Avenue. Dr. Rothfones treated her for a knee cut and thigh bruise. Earlier Maxine Wiley of Riverside Drive York was struck by Charles Martyn of Wayt Hampstead at Green Street and the superhighway. Martyn received a forearm laceration at Perth Amboy General Hospital and his car was towed after overturning.
