Winthrop School Decoration Committee Plans Fund Drive
The committee on school decoration met in the Frost Public Library to set funds and gather pictures for classroom walls. Principal E D Osborne noted 85 teachers replied with three-picture choices and funds may be raised via the Winthrop Sun and Visitor to create lasting memorials for contributing organizations.

Entertaining Aid Night for Point Shirley Chapel Lands
A charity entertainment at Brooks barn Point Shirley last Saturday raised funds for a church lot. Organizer Miss Helen Young led a strong lineup with Barnard the Northern funny man, Mrs Barnard, Ennerking and Young supported by Ralph Anderson, Mr Smith, Mrs Thatcher, Willard Knight and youth performers from the District School.

Auto Rides Into Telegraph Pole Near Winthrop Beach
Chauffeur Benson of Revere was severely injured when a touring car owned by Samuel C. L. Haskell of Catler street burst a rear tire, swerved off the road near Point Shirley, dug into the sand, and struck a telegraph pole. He suffered a sprained shoulder and bruises but no broken bones. The car was damaged, with the right front wheel smashed.
