Concannon Leader of Good Government Dies in Winthrop
John Concannon, longtime Boston political figure and key organizer of the Good Government Association, dies after a period of ill health and a heart failure. He served as an educator at Deer Island penal institution and held posts in the Boston Civil Service and water divisions. His funeral at Immaculate Conception Church drew a large gathering of friends and colleagues. He leaves a widow and five children. Meanwhile, Miss Lillian Gertrude Scott wed Ernest Patterson Thomas in a Winthrop ceremony at 83 Lincoln Street with a large turnout and festive reception.
