Unconscious attack shocks Winthrop resident near Fort Heath

Harry D. Wood, 28, of Nahant Avenue in the Highlands, was beaten in a dark, unlit spot behind Fort Heath Friday night. He remained unconscious about 15 minutes before staggering home, money untouched, police unsure of motive. Other theories cite a personal grievance or fear the victim was dead.

Ladies Night at Cottage Park Yacht Club Delights Crowd

A large season crowd attended Cottage Park Yacht Club on Wednesday for Ladies Night. Boston Music Club presented a varied program performed by four young ladies and four young men. Mrs. Wilma Dearborn Carter read several pieces to enthusiastic reception, with Dr. Peterson Mr. Burnham and Mr. Perkins organizing the event.

Unique Poodle Dance at Cottage Park Yacht Club

A playful Poodle party last Saturday at Cottage Park Yacht Club featured a poodle race amid a lively program led by committee members Burnham Perkins and Dr. Peterson. White toy poodles with long manes competed in races for giant ribbon adorned prizes won by Frank J. Ross and Miss Swift.
