Memorial Day Observances and Winthrop Veterans Parade
Memorial day ceremonies in Winthrop include flag protocol, a veterans parade on Pauline street prompt 8 o clock led by the Charlestown Cadet Band with Fort Banks escort. Dedicatory events at the monument feature remarks by John E. Beck and David Floyd, with school choirs and the Beethoven Quartet. A horse show at Winthrop Yacht Club and various races and side shows follow, plus a dinner at Loews Hall. Citizens urged to display flags.
