Celebrates 84th Birthday of Edward Magee at Main Street home
Edward Magee of Main Street, born 1823 in Boston, marked his 84th birthday last Tuesday with calls from children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. He began in the milk business between Winthrop and East Boston, once carried mail by milk wagon, married Caroline Tewksbury in 1846, later ran a grocery, and helped on a famous ox team for the Custom House pillar project. He has three children: E. I. Magee, Winthrop Magee, and Mrs. Isaac Hall Jr. in Winthrop.
