Glidden May Run Against Roberts in Massachusetts

Governor Foss signed the congressional redistricting bill creating 16 Massachusetts congressional seats next November, up from 14. In the fifth session before Judge Raymond last week a verdict for 1091 dollars was returned in Henry S. Fisher versus the Town of Winthrop over injuries from a defect in Shirley street.

Felicity Club Elects New Officers At May Meeting

The Felicity Club held its final meeting at Miss Gladys Stowe home on May 26. Newly elected officers include Miss May LeCour president Miss Winnie Stetson vice president Miss Capitola Lindbohm treasurer Miss Gertrude Mudgett recording secretary Miss Madge LeCour corresponding secretary and Miss L M Norse press agent. Eveleth joined as member replacing Ethel Stowe who resigned to take a Washington D C position. At meeting close Ethel Stowe received a sterling gift from the club in appreciation of her service.

Board of Trade Meeting in Wadsworth Block

The semi monthly Board of Trade held a meeting in Wadsworth block on Tuesday with about 40 members. Walter L Smith of the Malden Board of Trade spoke and Henry Teller discussed plans for a new Ocean View Hotel at the beach costing about 222000 with a 6 percent return. A three member committee will study the project and a field day to Waverly Oaks is set for next Wednesday leaving at 9 am from Rowe's wharf.

Supper and Dance for Japanese Opera Cast

A social evening followed the Episcopal parish Japanese Opera, featuring a hearty supper by the young ladies, remarks by Rev. Charles W. Henry, solos by Lyman Nelson and John Williams, and dancing with cast musicians. Lyman Nelson received a pig skin vest pocket travelling case as thanks from Isabellé Avery, L. F. Wilkins, and Florence Nelson.
