The Bishop of Leemster and Dr Gibbs visit end in a tense country house encounter. A locked door, a window entry, and a heavy-handed constable threaten the Bishop with a gun, while the two men clash over authority in a comically perilous midnight scene.
A burglar masquerades as a policeman in a bishop's house and teams with the clergyman in an odd pursuit of missing silver. The bishop endures threats, forced laughter, and a dance in stocking feet before Dr Gibbs and a village policeman intervene and arrest the burglar.
