Bennie Lindley Dies After Stroke in Winters Hospital

Bennie Lindley sixty died in Winters Municipal Hospital at 11 10 following a stroke suffered a week earlier Funeral services were held at Spill Memorial Chapel with Rev Harry Grantz and Rev Virgil James officiating Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery Lindley born February 28 1909 at Grapevine lived in Wall Norton and Ballinger before moving to Winters in 1940 He is survived by Vera Lindley three children two sisters a brother mother eight grandchildren and a sister in law Pallbearers included Melvin Mapes and others

Arthur M. Grant 87 died at Winters Municipal Hospital at 3 35 a m Friday. Funeral 2 p m Saturday Spill Memorial Chapel with Rev Harry Grantz officiating. Burial in Itasca Cemetery after services in Winters and Itasca. He was born Sept 16 1881 at Itasca and married Alice Cantrell in 1905. He retired from farming in 1951 and moved to Winters in 1966. He belonged to Woodmen of the World for 50 years. Surviving are two sons Floyd and Lloyd, a daughter Mrs W T Fields, two grandsons and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers listed.
