Keva Harrison of Winters daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee Harrison has been chosen as an Ambassador to Fiesta Del Concho 1975 in San Angelo from June 21 to 29. Ambassadors and escorts represent outstanding youth today. Miss Harrison graduates Winters High School attended Baylor University named to spring 1975 Dean's List with 674 others plans to transfer to Texas A&M to major in computer science.
William H. Higgins Jr., Tarleton State University student from Winters, named to the B honor roll and the Distinguished Student List for spring 1975. Higgins, a general agriculture major, must have at least 12 hours with no grade below B and a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Interstate Commerce Commission to consider a certificate for abandoning the Abilene & Southern Railway line from milepost 0.0 near Abilene to milepost 39.0 at Winters Texas, due to unprofitable traffic and required maintenance. Protests due by September 1, 1975. representative William R. McDowell listed.

Danny Lee Fenwick of Winters, a New Mexico State University student in Las Cruces, was named on the spring semester dean's list among 1,800 students for the 1975 76 academic year. To qualify, she earned at least a 3.2 GPA and 12 credit hours. Stanley W. Tatum, formerly of Winters now in Brady, made TSU honor lists for the 1975 spring term as a pre medical major.
The 85th Jamboree event could not publish the full winners lists due to space constraints. Remaining winners will appear next week along with numerous photographs in forthcoming issues as space allows. The publishers apologize for the delay.
Winters High School students attend the Tarleton State University Summer Cheerleaders Clinic held in Stephenville. Participants include Lisa Bedford Donna Danford Dana Davis Emerald Rodriguez Cindy Seals Susan Williams and JV representatives Prissy Black Cheryl Colburn Toni Hambright. Forty one schools and two hundred seven students participated.
The annual Mitchell Family Reunion gathered 34 members at Ballinger Community Center on Sunday June 22 1975. The event featured visiting and movies from the past 25 years a barbecue lunch and a short business meeting.
