Blue Gap post office tale of stage coach days revived at site
The Blue Gap post office site near Winters Texas draws visitors from as far as Manchester England and Tripoli Libya, with Texas locals frequently stopping by. The log cabin post office dates to 1878 and survived through community efforts to roof floor and fence it, while a history committee notes early settlers lived in dugouts and wore dirt roads before fences.
