Buffalo banker under custody after missing funds
Short in his accounts E. D. Dann secretary and cashier of the National Savings Bank of Buffalo since 1861 is in custody at his mother's home. Bank records were examined by a state examiner and show a shortage of at least $82,000 with more to be revealed. Dann, a prominent church member, had long held a solid reputation in Buffalo business circles.

TWO TRAINS COLLIDE NEAR DULUTH KILLING BOY
A St Paul and Duluth passenger train collided with the Wisconsin Central express two miles north of Duluth Junction at 1 pm. James E. Stinson of Stillwater was killed instantly. several crew members injured, some seriously. Locomotives and cars were wrecked, with trains on a curve at Summit Switch. In Laverne Minn, a mother and infant were killed by a falling building during a storm that destroyed crops and damaged homes.
