Missing Fredericksburg girl found in Winchester boarding house
Madeline Dempsey, 15, daughter of W L Dempsey of Fredericksburg Virginia, who vanished from Washington DC on April 20, is located in Winchester at Mrs Calmes boarding house. Her father, arriving from Fredericksburg, says Dickson, a former associate and 45, is wanted for kidnapping and will be prosecuted.

Thaw jury member Pfaff rides through Virginia countryside
Mr and Mrs George Pfaff of New York spent Tuesday night in Winchester before continuing to Washington. Pfaff, who served on the twelve jurors in the Harry K Thaw trial, declined to discuss the case but said he favored Thaw's conviction. The pair have been at Dr Northcott's sanitarium in New Market and now travel by horse and buggy from Berryville toward Washington en route to New York.
