Aged Mennonite preacher Rev Christian Brunk dies
Rev Christian Brunk a pioneer Mennonite preacher died last night at age about 83 in Rockingham County near Broadway with sister Mrs Barbara Brenneman passing within minutes. He had preached since age 25 and lived in the county and Winchester for 35 years. Survived by four sons Michael Joseph Noah Frank and two daughters Mrs Dewart Berry and Mrs J H Stouffer. Funeral arrangements pending with burial in Rockingham county.

The Rev William D Swaith rector of Christ Parish leaves for Fredericksburg Virginia where tomorrow afternoon his marriage to Miss Elizabeth Coulter Carmichael will be held at the bride's home. The Carmichael family includes Dr Randolph Carmichael of Washington and Mrs Carmichael formerly Miss Bryan of Georgia. The ceremony is small with relatives and close friends. After a wedding trip north the couple will travel to Winchester. Mrs Holmes Conrad Sr and Miss Betty Conrad are among locals attending.

Evangelist John E. Brown led large crowds at Braddock Street M. E. Church South with 11 am and 7 30 pm services. A choir of around 200 sang last night and fourteen attendees sought salvation at the altar. Earlier, Brown delivered a lecture titled The Pine and Infidelity. Walter W. Roy Grim Recovering After Street Accident
Clinton Grim the young son of Mr and Mrs Frederick Grim was knocked from a horse on East Cork Street Saturday afternoon and lay unconscious for over eight hours. He regained consciousness at ten pm and by Sunday morning recognized his parents and grandparents. Dr Boyd reported improved prospects for recovery.

Ankles Sprained in 20 Foot Fall on Virginia Ave Bridge
The accident occurred Friday evening on the bridge at Virginia avenue and First Street when a board broke, sending Frank Pangle about twenty feet to the ground. He suffered both ankle sprains and other injuries, was taken to Providence Hospital for treatment, and is a brother of J. W. Pangle of Marlboro.

Jackson Tharp a well known young farmer and Miss Jennie Adams daughter of Hiram Adams of Geineebore were secretly married at six o clock yesterday evening in Winchester at the United Brethren parsonage by Rev. S. D. Mkelton. Only a few were present and the couple left for the groom's home to begin married life. The license was flawed and the marriage kept private until today.

Dwelling House Burned at Boyce in Fire Disaster
The home of Walter Garrett, widow of Walter Garrett, in Boyce was destroyed by fire Saturday night. The fire started in the upper story, spread quickly, and the house burned to ruins. Mrs. Garrett and her daughter were away. neighbors and locals offered aid while the couple is left homeless with insurance none. A carload of cattle was shipped from Boyce the same day.
