D A R and Club Events Light Up Local Social Scene
The first D A R meeting of the year gathered at the Croxton home on Lexington pike with Miss Anna Croxton hosting. Space warmed by autumn leaves and mistletoe, the gathering featured reports on the Lexington convention and an elegant lunch. Also on the agenda were Kentucky Federation of Women's Clubs sessions in Lexington, with a large roster of officers and committee chairs listed, plus a girls basketball tournament at the college gym. Socials included a forty two party hosted by Mrs. Talitha Grigsby, a Salendar Lucas bridal dinner with a notable receiving line, and news of a Mayville wedding in Walnut Grove, celebrating Ethel Harvey Rice and Walter Worthington with autumn decor enhancing the setting.
