Wiseman Captured Near Torrent After Alleged Crime
Local report says Henry B. Wiseman, a farmer accused of assaulting his 15 year old stepdaughter near the city three weeks ago, was arrested near Torrent last night by Officer Ballard and J. W. Tipton. He was asleep when seized, offered no resistance, and a $50 governor’s reward had been posted. He will be brought to the city Friday afternoon on the 5 20 train.

Corpse Found Bound in Sack in Detroit Lane
Detroit, Oct. 30. The almost nude body of an unknown man aged 35 to 40 was found in a sack bound with ropes and a driving rein in Lapham's lane, Springwells township. His throat was cut ear to ear, a bullet hole witness, and the back of his head crushed. He appeared to have been dead about three weeks. A small amount of straw hid the body.
