Soldier Surrenders After Taking Hostages
In Saigon a young American soldier, Pvt. Lawrence R. Tanner 20 of Orange Texas, surrendered after abducting four soldiers. He took them from Long Binh to Saigon with two in a jeep then freed three and held the fourth at a house near the U S Army Hospital. No one was hurt during the exchange and tear gas ended the standoff.

Two Winchester Area Men Die in Rt 55 Truck Crash
