Harry Swanson a Paxton Illinois post office night clerk was seriously wounded early today by two gunmen who shouted that line as they fled Swanson fired back and believes he struck one assailant He had helped convict the four robbers in a May 1925 post office holdup and identified Blackie at that trial.

Mrs. Johnson Laid To Rest at Capon Bridge
The funeral of Mrs. Caroline Johnson was held at 1 p.m. yesterday from her daughter Mrs. George Pugh’s home in Capon Bridge West Virginia. She died Sunday at age 96 years 10 months and 4 days and was the oldest woman near Capon Bridge. Survived by four children George Pugh Lee Johnson Edward Hicks and Davis Johnson. Burial in Mount Hebron Cemetery in this city. Pallbearers were R. S Smith Jack Tharpe William Eaton Filits Haines Luther Sirbaugh and Edgar Oates.

Martinsburg West Virginia October 23 All four Chambersburg High School football games in the Cumberland Valley Athletic Conference were cancelled. The Winchester Handley School game was called off amid disputes over a negro player and a so called gentlemen's agreement. Chambersburg cited fear of demonstrations and insisted no such agreement existed. Other schools in the area had already cancelled games with Chambersburg.
