Fire destroys cottage near High View Virginia today
A one story frame cottage owned by Clement Oates and occupied by Mrs. Viola Post near High View Virginia was destroyed by fire around 8 45 am. The fire started from a common flue servicing a kitchen stove and a heating stove. There was no insurance. The Gore Fire Company and Capon Bridge Fire Company battled flames as neighbors saved some furniture including a refrigerator.
