Clarence Hardy Dies Suddenly at Hot Springs
Clarence E. Hardy of 710 South Braddock Street Winchester died at Hot Springs Arkansas last evening at 6 o clock after a lingering illness. Born February 28 1872 he served as a Winchester post office clerk for 31 years until retiring in 1928. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Hardy and an uncle George Hardy of Winchester. Funeral arrangements were not yet made.

Former Manager Of Rosney Dies After Long Illness
Lafayette Shiley 79 died at his home near White Post Clarke county after five weeks of critical illness. A native of Clinton county Pennsylvania born December 4 1858 he lived in Frederick and Clarke counties most of his life farming Cree and was noted as manager of the Rosney estate. He was a son of the late John and Mrs. Shiley and came to Virginia with his parents in childhood. He spent his life in farming and leadership at Rosney remains.
