An unidentified holdup man and a confederate robbed the Hotel St James earlier today. Patrolman Alexander Calder, a pistol expert medal recipient, ordered them to stop and fired once after drawing his pistol. The gunman fell in the hotel lobby while the other robber escaped with the money.
