Two men die in practice crash at Indianapolis speedway
Joe Caccia of Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania a 31 year old race driver and Clarence Grove 23 from Haverford Pennsylvania mechanic were killed in a practice crash at the Indianapolis speedway during preparations for the 500 mile race. Their car lost a tire and went over the wall striking a tree before bursting into flames. Grove died instantly and Caccia died a few minutes after rescue efforts.

Chicago Widow Charged With Poisoning Four
Mrs. Ailien Summers a 47 year old widow was held to the grand jury on four charges of murder after a coroner's jury found evidence that four men died in her home from slow poisoning. Summers benefited from life insurance on ten persons, five of whom died at her home. The victims included her husband Thomas 37 orphan nephew Thomas 17 and two boarders. Lanagan died of acute poisoning. May 14 death of Meyers bay spurred the inquiry following her husband’s death last August 9.
