Mrs Arabella Clarke 97 widow of General H Francis Clarke died at 303 Fairmont avenue at 1 05 this afternoon. Born May 30 1838 near Louisville she was daughter of General Joseph Parnell Taylor and niece of President Zachary Taylor. She traveled abroad five times and once danced with King Edward VII during visits to the United States.

A Virginia girl, 13, Betty Lee Roudabush of Shenandoah, died when a heavy tent top toppled by a 40 mile gale struck her as rain and wind battered the Ringling-Barnum-Bailey big top near the Capitol.
