Deadline Set For Tax Payment To Vote In November Election
Tomorrow is the final day to pay taxes to be eligible for the Tuesday November 7 general election. Virginia law requires payment at least six months before the election, and with offices closed Sunday, tax payment must be made by close of business tomorrow to appear on the voting list. Citizens are urged to pay to qualify for ballots in races for U S Senator governor and other state offices. Clarke and Frederick counties and Winchester city will elect a House of Delegates member and in Winchester voters select a treasurer, commissioner of the revenue and city sergeant.
