Slays Former Sweetheart Then Dives To Death

Finger-printer charged with aiding Dillinger escape

One Drowned in Lake Tragedy at Lynchburg
In Lynchburg Virginia on March 19 John McGraw drowned during a lake outing on 4th Timber Lake. Seventeen others escaped after Stanley Wiley's yacht tipped and failed to right itself. The body was recovered after a lake-dragging search in about 18 feet of water.

Death of Edgar L Hook Shocks Winchester Community
Edgar L Hook 73 a prominent Frederick and Hampshire county figure in agriculture and milling was found dead at the Glass estate near his Winchester home. Police and Dr Charles A Anderson linked the wounds to self inflicted actions after a period of ill health. Married twice with three sons and two brothers, he was born October 17 1860 at Hooks Mill West Virginia and longtime local leader in Gore and Trone mills.
