Regulators Move Toward Tax on Silver Transfers
Treasury experts estimate the silver purchase act will require about 1.3 billion ounces of silver to reach a 27 15 ratio with gold. Current stocks total roughly 700 million ounces, about 12 percent of metallic monetary stock. Western Senators view it as a major step since the metal’s demonetization, while others see limited inflation impact and conservatives warn of moving from the gold standard.
