Death summons quiet to Miss Russell in Winchester
Miss Russell died peacefully at 10 minutes to 2 yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank L. Buckley on South Stewart street after years of declining health. A civic and Daughters of the Confederacy leader, she helped organize the Stonewall Memorial Association and devoted her life to Confederate remembrance and southern ideals in Winchester. She was born to Isaac W. and Eliza Baker Russell and left only one living sister Mrs. Marshall Willis with several nephews and nieces. (Continued on page two.)
