Leesburg Virginia June 16 sale of historic Belmont Farm at auction to settle liens and trust deeds. Mrs John Hay Whitney bought The Porter for 27000 and the estate sold for 95000 exceeding 75000 debt. 86 horses brought 218000 with proceeds to retire deeds of trust and liens. Estate includes 1100 acre farm with 24 room mansion and 600 acres blue grass land.
