Miss Margaret Richards Elected Virginia Christian Endeavor Leader
Miss Margaret Frances Richards of Winchester was elected president of the Virginia Christian Endeavor Union at the state association banquet in the George Washington Hotel. She succeeds Claude E. Barfield of Newport News and has led Western district societies. The meeting announced new officers and honors and voted to hold the next session in Norfolk in June 1932.

Funeral Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev H Eugene Richardson and Rev Snyder Alleman. Burial beside her husband in Green Hill Cemetery.

Jesse Strauderman, 30, fugitive from the Virginia penitentiary held in Youngstown, Ohio, escaped from a Frederick County road gang on June 19, 1919 while serving a year and day for theft. After the escape he went straight, married his childhood sweetheart in Connellsville, Pa., and later worked as a railroad brakeman in Youngstown. he has three children.
