Disabled Vets to Own Minneapolis during convention
The 10 000 disabled veterans of the World War will take over Minneapolis for the Disabled American Veterans convention June 25 to 29. Mayor Leach, a disabled veteran, says the city will be owned by the attendees with a parade, tours, a grand ball, a Mardi Gras festival and public dance at the Armory as major events. St Paul hosts opening day, while auto transport will assist about 40 percent of veterans unable to walk.
