Last Rites Held For Veteran of Spanish War
Funeral services for Homer L. Brown of Winchester were held at his North Cameron Street home officiated by Rev. Murray Mitchell. Interment followed in Mount Hebron Cemetery with pallbearers from Braddock Street Church’s Golden Rule Bible Class and Friendship Fire Company. Brown, 47, a Spanish American War veteran, had been in poor health and prior engaged in mercantile business. He was survived by his stepmother Mrs. Laura Brown and was a member of Company A, Second Infantry, Virginia National Guard under Captain Magstruder.

Two Are Found Guilty of Planting Blast In a Mine
