Orville Wright Dies at 76 After Illness in Dayton
Orville Wright, co inventor of the airplane, died in his sleep at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton at 10 40 p m after a battle with lung congestion and coronary arteriosclerosis. He entered the hospital after a second heart attack this year and had shown a prior recovery from an October 1947 attack.
