Alleged Hit and Run Driver Faces Trial This Week
Perry Parker of West Virginia was indicted by the Frederick county Circuit Court grand jury for a hit and run that injured two women and wrecked their car. The collision happened shortly before last Christmas on Northwestern pike Double S path. The victims Mrs. Robert Johnson and Mrs. Mary Lewis were hospitalized with a fractured arm and head injuries. Parker abandoned his wrecked car and fled the area. license plate tracing led to his arrest and imprisonment. The trial is set for Thursday before a county jury.

Andrew Willis and Edwin Tf Sibert pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court to transportation of 60 gallons of liquor and received 90 days on the roads plus a $25 fine and costs totaling 67.50. Charles Mowery admitted possession of 75 gallons and drew one year on the roads with a $101.59 fine and costs. it being his second offense. Warble and Line faced charges for possession of a still and five gallons. Line pleaded guilty and drew six months in jail with $5 fine and costs, released on $500 bail to begin February 20. Warble is jailed in Harrisonburg, and Sheriff Pannett went to bring him for trial.
