Arthur Whitacre 60 a Capon Bridge resident was fatally struck at his home by a car driven by Esten M Wood of Sardis Indiana license plates and two Ohio plates. Wood was arrested and held in Romney with fingerprints and Bertillon records sent to Washington. Whitacre was a carpenter with a widow two daughters and three brothers among his survivors.
