Death removes Roger Chewill for some years
Roger Chew a longtime Standard Oil executive and Charles Town native died Sunday at 2332 Wisconsin avenue Washington aged 57. He rose to special advisor to the board of directors of Standard Oil Company of New York and was renowned for generosity toward local causes. He never married and is survived by two sisters. Funeral services were at Zion Protestant Episcopal Church in Charles Town with interment in the church yard.
