Paul Gaylord of this city and president of the Virginia Barrel Company had a good-sized cabin cruiser sunk and badly damaged off the New Jersey coast during a northeast gale. The craft, anchored off shore near Staten Island, was torn loose by the storm and carried away before it sank. Loss partly covered by insurance with the JAV Arthur agency.

Hugo Milburn Laid To Rest At Mt Hebron
Funeral service for Maurice Hugo Milburn son of Mrs Theresa Milburn and the late B B Milburn was held at Sacred Heart Church at 10 this morning. Father Paul V Heller celebrated the mass and he was buried in Mt Hebron Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Nicodemus D C Clevenger Hunter M Stine Clarke Hardesty Ernest Michael and William Pitcock. A large crowd attended as tributes from Winchester and Frederick county communities testified to Milburn’s standing. He died in a side swipe collision with a truck on the Martinsburg turnpike near Winchester. He is survived by his mother a sister Rita Milburn and a brother John Milburn all of Frederick county.
