Hugo Milburn 21, of a Northern Virginia family, is killed instantly when his light car collides with a truck loaded with five tons of blasting powder on the Martinsburg pike just north of Winchester. The driver of the truck, Claude Brown, is uninjured apart from minor scratches. The crash blocks U.S. Route 11 for hours as authorities recover the explosives and investigate.

Tragic Weekend Kills Thirteen in Pennsylvania
