Winchester Fire Boys Headed to Harrisonburg Convention
Final plans set for the Friendship and Sarah Zane companies to travel to Harrisonburg for the Virginia State Firemen’s Association annual convention August 23 to 26. The Friendship group with a band and a 15 member reel team will depart on the 6.30 B. and C. train Thursday morning, while the Sarah Zane company and drum corps follow on the same train. About 100 men are expected to accompany the Friendship company, with preparations to meet at the engine house at 5.30 am to collect fares and buy a block ticket.

Edward S. Conrad, a renowned Harrisonburg lawyer, Mason, and Methodist churchman, died at his Main Street home after years of chronic illness.
