Virginia Troopers Killed While On Leave
Two First Virginia Cavalry troopers, Henry G Gooch of Richmond and William F Meade of Alexandria, were killed when struck by a train of the Richmond Frederick and Potomac Railroad at Acca Virginia. Their bodies were found beside the tracks by a shifting crew before 2 am Monday and identified by Blues squadron officers. Secretary Lansing and Ambassador Arredondo conferred to arrange a meeting of the joint commission likely at Asbury Park New Jersey. Fatal Automobile Crash on Charles Street in Baltimore
A Baltimore woman died and another is dying after an automobile wreck on Charles Street. A man has a fractured skull and three others are injured. Driver John Delano is under arrest for causing the death while hospitalized with additional injuries. The dead woman is Mrs. Della Longworth. Ruth Storey is badly hurt with a broken skull and not expected to survive. The car overturned while attempting to pass another vehicle.
