Richmond man accused of murder threat ends in lunacy hold
James Farley a Richmond Virginia man declared himself a private officer and tried to arrest Charles Renner on murder charges. Renner dodged a milk bottle through a car windshield and as Farley fled police shots were fired. Farley was captured and ordered held pending lunacy examination by Dr. E C Stuart and Dr B B Dutton after authorities deemed him possibly insane. The chase caused alarm across West Cork and South Braddock streets before Farley was jailed.

Permission For New Bay Ferry Granted Today
The Interstate Commerce Commission gave permission for Chesapeake Beach Railway to start a new ferry service across Chesapeake Bay from Chesapeake Beach to Trippe's Bay on the eastern shore.
