Hose Company No 5 of Martinsburg West Virginia brings its baseball team to the Rouss Springs diamond at 3 o clock tomorrow afternoon to face Winchester Park Association. Fresh from eight straight victories the West Virginians seek another scalp while Winchester aims to end the streak. On Sunday Funkstown Maryland visits the local diamond as the Park Association urges a large crowd to support the home team.
The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad will bring fresh airs into the city this evening at 6 10 for families boarding or taking in children. Citizens taking in youths are urged to meet the train and assist with the reception and care.
Thieves from Winchester looted a burned Gore home via a moved refrigerator taking beef pies and butter. A trunk was opened and contents including women’s undergarments stolen. Salt shakers and country hams were found stolen two miles away. An ice box thief was identified and jailed. A ham was returned with its lock and key. A post office blaze suspect remains jailed nearby.
