Settlement in PEC rate case appears imminent
A settlement between Pedernales Electric Cooperative, the Public Utility Commission of Texas staff and intervenors seems close after hearings opened Monday. PEC sought a 10.2 million dollar annual revenue increase. staff recommendations would cut it to about 9 million with a declining block rate. The agreement covers rate design with two industrial intervenors and Texas AG's office, awaiting PUC approval for docket placement by late summer.
