Texans urged to join 1994 Red Ribbon Campaign
The 1994 Red Ribbon Campaign runs October 22 to 30 to show a unified, drug free Texas. Over 5 million Texans joined last year, with ribbons issued by the Hays Caldwell Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Ribbons available via 1-800-733-1214 or 512-396-7695 and distributed through schools and the Wimberley View office.

The Heart of Texas Novice Speech Debate tournament at McNeil High School in Round Rock featured the Speech Team’s novices. Debaters Nick Drake and Ted Beck placed 9th among 54 teams, earning outstanding speaker honors alongside Julie Strickland for Poetry Interpretation. Other competitors included Nick Chappell Amber Thompson Emily Perales Emily Rolling Fulari Kirikiti and Jamie Blaschke.
